Hello Everyone!
I'm serving in Brandenburg with Elder Eliot! A red head!
We cover part of Fort Knox! While we are on base we have to take off our name tag. Which let me tell you is a weird feeling...and we get to see men all dressed up in their Army uniforms. On the base there are a number of tanks.
On my first day I got to visit with a member who lives in the Army base. At the entry we have to show them our license and information on who we are visiting.
Much of the ward is younger and I love it!
Here is what I wrote President.
This week Elder Eliot and I visited with members, less actives and investigators.
During the visits with members we got to discuss their interest and hear them bear their testimonies. We also discussed the importance of inviting friends to hear the gospel. When you invite you succeed. Effort will not be wasted and blessings will come.
For service we did a couple projects for members. We mowed someones lawn and worked on a members garage. During that time doing service we got a chance to meet a man who may in time come to church. Also we helped investigators this week build a deck in their backyard for about an hour while we talked.
A less active we visited is having a surgery this week and we are praying for her recovery. Also we visited a recent convert who is in a wheel chair and talked with his daughter in law about church. We'll be visiting with her later and watching Finding Faith in Christ.
I'm excited to serve in Brandenburg!
