4th of July was incredible. We had a blast. To celebrate for the 4th of July we went to a members home in which members made a presentation and we ate lots of food of course. Homemadebanana and pineapple ice cream was my favorite. We played corn hole with an investigator and basketball. Elder Anderson is a pro at corn hole. After enjoying the celebrating for a bit we had a lesson with an investigator that went real well towards answering his questions. We had a recent convert come with us which helped since they both knew about each others family.
Later that night we went to watch a wonderful firework show. I kid you not it looked like the sun was setting in the night it was that bright.
Elder Anderson and I found a 20 pound bag of tortilla mix for $1.50 haha so him and I expect to enjoy tortillas for the next lil while. That is if I don't get transferred. Saturday we find out what the news will be.
Anyways the member we live with has an awesome cat named Mitzy that is so entertaining. (for someone who has never had a cat or dog). Mitsy meows in the morning so loud you'd think she was a baby. Every so often I pick her up and set her in my arms like a baby. :)
Last week we met someone who is part of the KKK. I kid you not. Not only did we get to meet a member of the KKK group from Owensboro but also asked if we would like to be a part of it. Don't worry we didn't join.
Went up to Jasper this week to spend time doing missionary work with someone else. =)
With Love,
Elder Dimter
p.s. Today is my 17th month as a missionary. :) Time flies by but boy is life going well.
