Happy 4th of July...yesterday!
Let me tell ya'll that Kentuckians know how to celebrate Independence Day! There were fireworks going off ALL across the sky. (that is what you get to do when you live in a place that is so wet.) To celebrate in the night my companion Elder Platter and I went outside and went running so we could see the fireworks. You could see some fireflies out and about also! :)
This is going to be my companions very last full week as a missionary! Not only my follow up trainer Elder Platters (from California) last week but also Elder Romrell (from Arizona) my trainers last week. So they'll both get to be at the mission home in no time. There they will get to talk with other missionaries getting home and get a farewell from the new mission President Woodbury. Good luck to the both of my old companions who are heading home.
In no time I'll be getting a different companion. My new Mission President is in charge of this transfer. This week I just met him and his wife for the first time. I have confidence that the new Mission President will know which missionary I should serve with next. :)
While at the meeting with the new Mission President each companionship of missionaries were given Preach My Gospel: The District 1 & 2 DVD's along with a DVD Player! We get to watch those DVD's in the morning during our study time. This was not the only Mission to receive these DVDs and a DVD Player from what I hear. I'm glad to have the trust and responsibility of having this resource so as a missionary I can learn more during my study time. I remember thinking how unfortunate it is that as a missionary we have all these DVD's we get to pass out but we'd never get any time to watch them for our own study time.
Anyways...so let me start talking more directly to the family now.
Brian informed me about how the family reunion went! Sounds like it was a blast like always :). I'd love to hear from anybody else about their experience at the Reunion.
Sarah! I hear you are living in Richmond near Oakland. :) You know where I'll be flying home when I get back (Oakland Airport)...^_^ do you think you'll be there in 19 months when I return?
Becca! Your so close to having the baby! How exciting!
Steve! :) I miss you. Haha Madisonville has a Gamestop, so whenever I pass by it, it makes me think of you. Not only that, but there is a place downtown that is "Steve-O's-Gameroom" or something like that. It also makes me think of you too.
Adam: =) I hear you won the bowling tournament at the family reunion! Congrats!
Hayley: :) I heard you won to! Way to go
Chris: Hope all is well buddy. Keep working hard.
Jen Silva: I have a nice letter for you. Love you. :D
