September 12, 2011

Yesterday was September 11th...
The ward that I serve in is mostly Military families. So during church we talked about that. As a member was talking about when the Twin Towers were hit...I couldn't help but tear up. There were so many lives that were lost that day. A member had a friend who was their when the towers fell and he said he could hear people jumping out of the towers and heard their bodies hitting the ground. Talk about sad...
Anyways during church we talked about the Plan of Salvation in Gospel Principles.
I am grateful for the knowledge the Plan of Salvation has given me. To know that Families can be together forever is wonderful. So I want to let all of my family members know that I love each and everyone of them individually. Also that I pray for their protection and well being.
This week as a missionary I've gotten a greater appreciation for missionary work and desire to help those I know anyway I can. This week I enjoyed having the opportunity to go to the temple to see a couple of converts my companion baptized go through the temple to be sealed together. There were so many missionaries their in support and an RM came back to see them get sealed. It was wonderful.

Charity brings joy...I know because...
Today I'm helping a recent convert who is pregnant move into her new apartment.
Earlier this week I helped a man from the ward clean up his apartment to move out.
Gave a 90 year old woman a blessing this past week. :)
Yesterday I helped a member work on sanding and painting a bench along with a table. ^_^.

Anyways this week I'm excited to hear about where a member is going to serve on his mission! :D

Love,
Elder James Dimter
