I'm loving the new area. Elder Anderson and I live with a recent convert that is in his 70's. He is the biggest saint I have met in a while. Him and I enjoy having plenty of talks about the Gospel/Principles/his family. His wife is in a rest home so it's nice for us to be there at his home to provide company. What is wonderful is he loves to come teaching with us also. God bless him for all that he does.
So Owensboro has a huge celebration coming up for B-BQing. Since I hear Owensboro is the "BBQ capital of the world". :) There is an event that is once a year where tens of thousands of people that come and try a bunch of meat :D. So I'm stoked to go there with investigators.
Currently there are a lot of mom/daughters Elder Anderson and I are teaching. Some of which are the nicest people I've met in a while. We are so stoked for them. Since they have so much faith! What is tough though is in Owensboro so many people are stuck working on Sundays.
Anyways there is a hispanic family I'm teaching that makes me flash back to California. This week we read Preach My Gospel in Spanish with them.
This week I met a deaf preacher. No joke...he can't hear! So we had to write things down.
While tracting I met a woman who looks JUST LIKE BECCA just older/heavier. The woman had the same nose/eyes/facial structure/hair. I was floored.
Wish ya'll a Happy Valentines Day tomorra!!!
Love,
Elder Dimter
hugs to ya'll god bless
time to go shopping
p.s. its super freezing cold with all the moisture in the air...since Owensboro is so close to the Ohio river
