This Saturday we got the transfer calls. I'm getting transferred to a different area! I find out where tomorrow. :D!
NEWS - YEAR MARK = FEB 9TH, 2012
So recap for everyone...
1st area - Madisonville, KY (Coal Miners/Doctors) - 6 months
2nd area - Brandenburg, KY (Military/Regulars ;) - 6 months
3rd area - ..C= I find out tomorrow
I will miss being in a military ward. Members have moved in and out so it is a constant change which make it fun. Yesterday there was a huge family that moved in which made me snap my fingers.
Anyways since being here I've taught a plethera...and I'll miss seeing a number of investigators I've taught get baptized. Hopefully I'll get a picture of them baptized so you can see them.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY OF THE WEEK
This Saturday I received a phone call from a man who has not come to church in over 20 years. He happens to be someone that for the past 6 months I have visited to help him regain his desire to return to church. So I was very interested as to what he had to say on the phone to me. While talking with him he expressed with such joy in his voice "What time is church tomorrow...because I'm coming back to church, not for just this Sunday but for good!" He continued on and said he hopes the ward will be ready for him. As I heard this my face lit up with such joy. When I first met him he said part of his fear of returning to church was not because his wife not a member but he'll have to talk with the bishop to go through the process of being re-baptized...I expressed to him that the ward will be so grateful for him to return.
The next day was Sunday. As I walked into the building I saw that man talking with others with a smile on his face. His countenance was bright and the ward welcomed the man with open arms. They were so grateful to see him there and you could tell the man was happy to be back. After the Sacrament service ended it came time for Elder Smith and I to teach the Gospel Essentials class. Our topic was on Faith. :) During class my heart went out to that man and he spoke of his hopes desires to be back in church. He let us know that in a couple weeks his wife will start attending church with him! The others in the class were smiling and excited to hear his story.
To help this man not feel alone on his test of faith I felt prompted to bring up another person in the room that has shown great faith. I spoke of the 17 year old Recent Convert that was baptized a few weeks before. I asked her to share her testimony. She expressed that her family was skeptical of her joining the LDS church but she said she could not deny the Book of Mormon. She then read with her family some of the Book of Mormon to her family and they could see how she has a deep faith in Jesus Christ. :D.
No matter who has strayed away, no matter for how long or what cause, there is a way back. We as active members must do our part to reach out to help our brothers and sisters gain the faith in Jesus Christ and to help them on their path to obeying the commandments. They must know they are loved regardless of what they have done. We must treat them as Christ would.
Love,
Elder Dimter
p.s. e-mail me back with your most inspirational story

Hey Hey Brian :D
The best way to send a package to me is to send it to the mission home. Especially since this week is transfers and I am actually getting transferred. It'll be awesome to be in my third area.
Of course after 6 months of being in a ward I'm most definitely going to miss it. Especially since I'm going to miss seeing the baptism of at least 4 investigators I've taught. There are a few others with baptismal dates too so we'll see if I missed out on more than 4.
Yesterday there was a huge family that moved in which made me snap my fingers. I am going to miss being in a military ward that always has new families moving in.

Elder Dimter
question. :D What was your most inspirational story from your mission?
p.s. I knew there was something special about this area. That is awesome to know Brother Morris served in the same area as me. I wonder where else he served. :D
