You should all take a look at some of these. Especially the ones in the category of TV Commercials. They are so sweet and can help you remember priorities we should put in our lives.
I miss everyone from my family with watching these videos. What is good though is I recognize that a reason I am out on a mission is so that I can help families learn how through the Gospel of Jesus Christ can truly be together forever. :)
There are a couple families that I'm working with in this area...and throughout my mission I've prayed that I would see a family I've taught get baptized. The both of the families are expressing a desire to get baptized. I'm so excited for them. This week I've felt so much love for the two families. One family I've known for 6 months and the other for 2 months. One of the couples are getting married in 5 weeks and then will get the chance to be baptized. Just yesterday we got to hear the mom bear her testimony at the Mission Home Fireside and I felt the Holy Ghost so strongly that it lead me to cry. Words can't describe the joy I feel when I hear an investigator bear their sincere testimonies.
The story with the other family is quite interesting. So Elder Smith and I prayed and fasted for a miracle to happen. With having plenty of faith our prayers would be answered that very day a man that has not come to church in 15 years came to church along with his son. We briefly talked with them and the father said my son kept asking questions about religion and I decided I might as well take him to my roots of where I learned about Jesus Christ. As we spoke we gave them resources to read and asked them to read some before the next Sunday. We were amazed because the very next week we saw them at church and enjoyed answering many questions they had. As a few weeks went by and we spoke with them they expressed their desire to have the mom come to church as well. They mentioned the mom was skeptical of coming because of what her friends said about mormons. We assured them that we should offer a prayer that her heart would be opened up to coming to church. That next Sunday the husband was astonished to see his wife up and ready for church. She mentioned she would like to get a chance to come and see for herself the services. The husband let us know he was in awe as he saw his wife up and ready for church without him asking. What was amazing answer to a humble prayer. Throughout the past 2 months or so we've seen them come to church. The dad is now on his way to become an Elder so he can baptize and confirm his son. We have discussed with the mom about the importance of baptism and she is very pleased that her son wants to join the church. She too is expressing a desire to learn more of the gospel and to be baptized. What a wonderful miracle to Elder Smith and I our prayers. We are having a visit with them this week to continue to answer the families questions. Yesterday at church the family gave Elder Smith and I praise for us in front of the class we had with the Temple President Lund and his wife that came to visit our ward. The Spirit was so incredibly strong.
I love you all.
Elder Dimter
God Bless!
