April 16, 2012

This week to come...I'm turning 21 on Friday! The missionary I am serving with named Elder Anderson is on his last week of his mission. (from Utah of course, lol no shocker), 3 people are getting baptized in Owensboro =D! Goodness this week is destined to be a week to remember.

As far as how this passed week has gone...well today I enjoyed a wonderful run...that lasted around 2.5 miles. I have not gotten to run like that in a while so it was a blast.

I received a package of cookies and a letter from my seminary teacher from long ago. She actually lived in Owensboro at one time which made me smile. :) She mentioned that she had a squirel named Roscoe which is a wonderful pet to have in Owensboro. Many of the squirels around here are super nice. Elder Anderson and I for fun feed squirels at parks. They come right up to the food you hold in your hand and they have the guts to take it from your hands.

Oh I made some banana bread for the first time in a couple years almost. That turned out great and made the home we live in smell wonderful. =]. I almost forgot how nice it is to bake.

Something I believe I didn't mention in a previously was I witnessed a car lose traction on the road and hit into a tree and light post. That reminded me of the importance to driving safe...especially in wet conditions.

:)

So yesterday I heard a man tell a story that amused me...I'd like to share it with everyone.

There was a burgler who went into a dark empty home...as he walked around the home in search of something to steal he was alarmed as he heard a voice. This voice was loud and screatched out Jesus is watching. As the burgler came discover who made the noise he was relieved that it was just a noisey parrot. As he walked slowly toward the parrot he asked the bird what is your name. The bird replied Clarance. In response the burgler said what idiot would name a bird Clarance. The parrot responded saying "the same idiot that named his German Sheppard Jesus".

=] You can imagine how as a missionary I really got a smile and laugh out of that story. I hope you all did to. Maybe you learned a moral to the story also.

Love you all,
Elder James Dimter

P.S. I love you mom.
