Dear Family,
The MTC is huge! The spirit is here! Awesome Elders and Sisters are all over. Interesting feeling to be away...but I don't know exactly how to feel yet since it is only the first day. (I'll send you an e-mail on how it went on Tuesday which is the P-Day). I am getting along well with my companion already. Him and I seem to have a similar kind of personality. There was a whole lot to soak in today as my companion and I were trying to help give some of our thoughts to 3 role play investigators.
Thankfully there were a couple dozen other Elders there with us during the role playing. All of us I think really gave it our best to share our testimonies but I think we all lacked in really helping the investigators testimonies grow since most of the strength you get comes from personal study and prayer done by the investigators. The invitation was made briefly...I can tell I am not the only missionary that will be learning a whole bunch from the MTC.
Tomorrow I am going shipping...new scripture case here I come!
So tomorrow is when the immunization records get checked. I am wishing I didn't have to think to myself that I need to get shots. That will take up some precious time of the day and I also am anxious to see how having the stake paying for the shots will go about.
Anyways today I met other missionaries going to Kentucky (including my awesome companion Elder Jolley). Also got to meet my zone leaders Elder Pinter and some other nice guy.
Tomorrow I meet my Branch President. Right now it is almost 11:30 so I've got to get headed to bed...
I love you all and am praying for each and every one of you. I look forward to hearing from you all...(hopefully you all eventually).
With handshakes and smiles,
Elder James Lee Dimter
ps I am glad you cried dad...I MISS YOU TOO.
