March 23, 2011

Hello Everyone,
On Monday I didn't get a chance to finish sending the e-mail that I was writing so I decided I'd get online today and finish sending it.
I couldn't e-mail yesterday since I was at a leadership meeting with the Zone in Evansville, Indiana.
Yesterday I saw the Mission President was there and his wife.  We ended up doing a lot of role play on focusing on inviting people to get baptized/work on prayer/church attendance since that is what the zone is working on doing better.

SO...
SPRING IS HERE...
The Kentucky Blue Grass is coming...so is allergies and the dreadful humidity.
This week I've done service working with peoples big lawn mowers to get them ready to cut there grass.  Some of these people have the biggest lawns ever.  Most lawns are on some intense Kentucky hills. It makes for a good work out walking up all these hills and knocking these doors.
What is nice though is my companion and I have a nice car which has air conditioning...=D hehe.
Also an apartment with a working Air Conditioner now. :).
Anyways this week I've made an effort to work off all those calories from the dinner appointments we've gotten.  My companion knows how to get appointments for dinner :).  We've left the families with messages and invitations.

I ended up catching a cold or I am having some allergies.  I've had watery eyes, a runny nose, congestion, sneezing, and a headache.  Thankfully I've had medicine to help out some.  :)

Hey I heard that Adam and Becca got to visit this week in Patterson since dad isn't doing to well.  Thats great to hear they were able to visit.  Hope they drove home safely.
Also I heard the Salmonds, dads school buddies and other people visited.  :) That is sweet.  Sounds like you all had some fun.

This week I've seen a woman missing an arm.
The other week I taught a guy missing his leg.
There are tons of people I know without teeth.
The neighbors jaw is real unique
I love an old man with a lazy eye from the ward.
Also another guy who has a ginormous gut :D.
Plenty of people have the big butt from the deep fried diet,
I guess I'm the missionary who has the big nose in the ward ;).
My companion has huge muscles and you'd think he was a gorilla.

Surely a mission brings interesting stories and you come to love people of all different shapes and sizes.  Each person is a child of God.  :)  I love serving the Lord.

Love Elder Dimter

p.s. here is where my money has been going towards...
$200 dollars Towards my companions bike and helmet from him for me.  Its a nice bike since its lightweight, yet built like a rock, has new road tires and the helmet fits/looks good.  (I gave my companion $100 cash and then used my US Bank card to purchase him $100 of clothes.  He wanted some clothes since he only has a couple more transfers till he goes home.

This week I bought some Doctor Sholls inserts from Walmart for $50 bucks.  They are working out nicely.  They make my flat feet feel comfortable and more snug in my shoes that were feeling real loose.

I also got a new belt since one belt I got from Brian got busted.  I got the belt for a solid $10 bucks.  Its a reversable Dockers belt, just what I wanted (style, brand, price and all).

I'm considering getting a hair cutting set pretty soon if I my companion and I get transfered from each other.  So I expect to throw down some bucks for that.

Also I don't have a pair of shades and I'm considering getting a pair (its getting SO sunny hear and I'm the driver...).  I might get a pair of shades that my neighbor orders online for my companion and I.

Anyways the rest of the money I've spent on food, going out to eat a few times this month.  (Taco Bell, Wendys and Papa Johns.)
