Dear Family,
If I could write dad a letter right now this is what I'd say,
"Dear Dad...,
We are all thankful dad for being that wonderful example to all of
us. You have showed us how to work hard even in tough circumstances.
We can all bet you are working hard already on the other side. That
is just the way you are. Work, work, work.
Don't forget to enjoy the fishing in Spirit Paradise...I bet there are
some big fishes to be caught ;).
Dad thanks for sharing your testimony to me. I will remember how you
bore your testimony of working to be like Christ. You helped me
understand he really was our best example. I want to let you know dad
besides Christ, you were the greatest example to me.
You reminded me to work on being better than my best. Hopefully by
the time my life ends I'll be better than my best. I know you and
Christ will help me get that way. Each day I'll remember that...
There is a whole lot of work to do in Kentucky. I bet there is also
plenty of work on the other side. Lets work hard with Preaching of
the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of course enjoy play time.
With Love,
Your Son
Elder James Lee Dimter
p.s. I love you so very much dad, I'll see you later...
Hopefully not in two years like you said at the airport...I don't want
to pass away that soon. In time though I'll see you again..."
The news of dad passing aways has certainly been a time for learning
and growing. I've gained a deeper testimony of the importance of the
Saving Ordinances with baptism and receiving temple ordinances. I
know that now is the time for us to prepare to meet God. May those I
come into contact during my mission have that personal desire to
prepare to live with God again someday.
I love you all.
Thank you for your e-mails Grandma, Uncle Tom, Uncle Ken, Brian...
And letters from my best friend Jen, Rafael Martinez, Davis, and
Sister Feriante...
Hope to hear from more people.

Hey so here is my weekly letter to my Mission President if any of
you'd like to read it.
"This week Elder Romrell and I were not able to watch all of the
General Conference talks and the Priesthood Session since Elder
Romrell has not been feeling well. So Elder Romrell and I plan on
watching Conference when he is feeling better. He has felt very
drowsy from the medicine he is taking.
We plan on watching Conference at the Ward Mission Leader if possible
this week at his home.
I figured we might want to seek out asking someone if they'd like to
join us in watching it.
Earlier this week I appreciated getting the chance to talk with my
family on the phone considering my dad passed away this week. My mom
had so much to say about the funeral and how it went perfectly.
Last night I wrote my mom a letter before I went to bed. To tell her
that I love her and want her to remember the bright future she has to
look forward to with becoming a grandma shortly.
I also shared a quote with my mom that has helped me,
"I believe in Christ, so come what may"
This coming week as a missionary my goal is to ensure that I leave an
extra note with families that have feed Elder Romrell and I this
transfer. I know that its important to show thanks for the things
people do for you. In the note I also would like to remind the
families of the challenges we gave them to share a DVD with others
they know. Elder Romrell and I hope to find new investigators through
our ward members. The members in are ward must remember that they too
are missionaries.
If Elder Romrell feels better I am hopeful that we'll be able to knock
some doors and find investigators ready to be invited for baptism.
Love
Elder Dimter
