Hello Everyone:
This past week we set a baptismal date with John for June 4th. In just a matter of a week and a half John is at the very end of the Book of Mormon. He told us that he knows the Book of Mormon is true and then bore his testimony of it to us this Tuesday. We were so proud of him. Jon has made some changes in his life in order to prepare for baptism to. There is nothing that is getting in his way from being baptized. Elder Platter and I are amazed with how strong his testimony of the Book of Mormon is. We feel we haven't had to do much to prepare him for his baptism on June 4th, we were just the ones who gave him the Book of Mormon to read and John did the rest...
Just yesterday John went to Stake Conference with us and met some members. He fit right in. John works in the Coal Mines and is 24 years old. He has so many stories to tell from the Coal Mines and was talking about his experience with people from the ward.
Jon is a very intelligent man. Often he has some thoughtful comment to say about how we should live our life. I figure he has so much knowledge since he has spent so much time reading from the Bible and Book of Mormon. It was funny at church John told us all he needed from us was the Book of Mormon to know that the church was for him. I am proud of him for making the effort to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. That is how we can gain our testimony that the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored back onto the earth.
Next week will be my 3rd transfer! I can hardly believe it. My hopes are that I will stay in Madisonville for John. Also so I could be with my companion Elder Platter for his very last transfer of his mission.

Today I wrote a couple letters to a couple missionaries in my mission and the Burningham family. I plan on writing a letter to the Freitas family, Ken and Sheri, Mom, Jen...and Steve I'll try e-mailing you back.
Thanks everyone for all your e-mails and letters. I'll work on responding back...

I love you all.
Elder Dimter

p.s. yesterday I taught someone who is missing an ear. :) Just thought I'd add something unique for the week.
