Hey Family :)
Transfer calls were on Dec 17th and I found out that I'll be staying in Brandenburg! (4 of 8 missionaries are leaving the district this transfer which will be weird).
-I had a dream my friend Jeremy Day that is serving in the same mission as me (who is from Turlock, CA) that I knew before my mission was getting transferred to my district. :D I'm crossing my fingers.
- Anyways with me staying in Brandenburg I'll get to spend my Christmas, New Years here! For Christmas this week I'll be going over to the Bishop for dinner. As for New Years I am not exactly sure what I'll be doing...but it'll be fun.
-Quite interesting that 2012 is coming up soon. A bunch of people joke around with us that the end of the world is coming in 2012. I just shake my head and smile. We don't know when that time will be.
-Oh so anybody that is interested...my year mark is in 7 and a half weeks! :
-I believe I forgot to mention to that our car broke down a couple weeks ago. Our poor car couldn't handle the cold ;). The battery was replaced and worked afterwards.
-This week was a baptism of ":)". She was stoked. Her significant other got to baptize her.
-There are a number of people Elder Smith and I have found that are so wonderful especially this week. We found 16 new investigators and I just wonder who else we know will make that leap of faith to work towards attending church...reading scriptures and praying. :) We'll see...
-the weather is getting so cold that puddles are icing over and I was sliding on ice recently for fun... :) It has not snowed enough to where the snow sticks to the ground. I'm not sure if I'm excited for snow or not yet.
- So my fingers are super sensitive to typing on the keyboard...ahah my pinky is hurting right now.
- There was a Christmas brunch this week and I ate a BUNCH of French toast! Ahaha ^_^. I realized how much I miss that stuff. For breakfast I've just gone for cereal. Lunch is still peanut butter and jelly/mac and cheese/dinner is tortillas w/cheese and tomato paste. Other than that food I've gone for canned food and then for food the members give/feed us.
-My companion and I have worked our brains out :D...and because we've worked so hard we've shattered the zones record for most investigators found in one week.
Today my companion and I find out if we were the #1 missionaries in our zone for the past 3 weeks. We've worked really hard to find investigators/have members teach with us/and getting investigators to church. The other top competators for #1 spot in the Zone is a pair of Sister missionaries from the District I'm in or a companionship of Elders that are a younger pair. :D I love "friendly" competition to serve the Lord. The top 3 companionships will receive a Louisville Slugger bat from our hard work. :) Should be a good reminder of the importance or working hard...(which I dedicate the bat to my dads good example)
God Bless,
Elder James Dimter

Be sure to let me know how your Christmas goes everyone :)
