Hey Everyone,
Wow my companion Elder Platter and my trainer Elder Romrell only have a month left on their missions!
I'm curious who will be my new companion in a month. I'll most likely stick around in Madisonville for at least another transfer so this area doesn't get "white washed" two new missionaries. So that would mean I'd be staying in Madisonville till at least mid-August.
The baptism for John is scheduled for June 19th...
This past week we had an FHE lesson with a couple Young Single Adults from the ward. We ate brownies/played games/lesson on the Holy Ghost. I was stoked to hear Johns testimony on the Book of Mormon (it was like music to my ears).
While tracting Elder Platter and I met a 43 year old woman. My companion was talking with the "step parents" of hers and I was talking with her. I loved to hear her testimony of the Bible and Jesus Christ...She expressed her rough childhood (really personal stories) and how Christ has been there for her. I was humbled to hear of her story of walking from Texas to Kentucky with blisters over her feet.
Anyways after discovering her testimony of Jesus Christ...I began to bear my testimony on a number of things and so did my companion. In time while talking with her...I looked in her eyes deeply as I bore my testimony (the Spirit was felt...) and she started tearing up...my heart felt so full. She brought up she wants to read the Book of Mormon. :)
This week I played bball with some buddies from the ward. :) We all had a blast (including my companion who has played basketball less than 10 times in his lifetime...)
I love you all and miss you.
Love,
Elder Dimter
Thanks for all the pictures from your trip Sheri and Ken! :D and the dvd.
