June 20, 2011

Hey ya'll,
So things I learned or was reminded of this week:
What it feels like to have a baptism on your mission, (wonderful)
That fireflies really do exsist, (the light looks green that they flash)
How old missionaries get...(Because they eventually start making up movies since its been forever since they've seen a real movie)
That its hard to go back to sleep when a tornado warning alarm is going off at 5:30am, (don't worry no tornado hit...that I know of)
How much you can miss homemade smoothies when you run out of the ingredients to make them, (Elder Platter and I love smoothies!)
I was reminded how it feels to see former investigators in front of there houses that you've taught...(I might avoid walking past formers homes now ;)...)
How it feels to walk across town for an investigators just to find out they aren't home...(Sadface, we didn't have their phone number)
That you should make effort to contact anyone you may feel inspired to (contacted a woman that wants to be taught as soon as school ends.)
How much you can grow to love a ward...(I missed not seeing a couple families at church yesterday real bad)
Sister Cox reminded me of how good of a cook she is (she makes delicious Sugar Free deserts)
When I go tracting don't forget to smile (people smiled at us/waved even though they weren't interested, they just showed respect)
That old people used to be young (we saw pictures of an old man Bro Cox from the ward when he was in his 20's)
The wonderful feeling of getting mail from people you didn't expect (Patterson Ward Bishop mailed me a letter...he said I'm Pattersons Ward first missionary! Since the ward split)

I've learned so many other things but I'll write ya'll next week when I have more time.

Choose the Right!

Love,
Elder Dimter
