This Saturday Elder Eliot and I got transfer calls. Elder Eliot is called to be a Zone Leader in Crestwood. Good luck to him there.
On Monday him and I spent time visiting as many people as week could possibly.
Tuesday we drove up to Louisville for the transfer meeting. While I was there I saw one of my best friends Elder Broomhead. He and I shared a room at the MTC. :D So we had a TON to talk about. Since him and I had not seen each other or talked in over 8 months!
Anyways...New companion is...*drum roll* Elder Smith! He has been out for about a year. So he still has that zeal to do missionary work like a boss! We are so excited to work together and just went through a list of who to visit.
Sunday was a baptism of a dear sweet 71 year old from England. To give you a quick background of her she has investigated the church for 3 years! 2 of which she has attended church and done everything a member is doing...like paying 10% to the church and visiting teaching. So this lady is what us missionaries like to call KINGDOM BUILDER. She is a former member of the Reformed LDS church also. Also this past year her husband passed away...so she was happy about knowing the Plan of Salvation.
At her baptism she was glowing! I kid you not. She was smiling ear from ear. After she was baptized I spoke about the Holy Ghost in front of 75 people that attended! I wasn't nervous thankfully. I brought up how much peace and knowledge comes from having the gift of the Holy Ghost and shared with her a scripture that assures me to know that. Then I went onto talking about her story of her husband passing away briefly so I could let her know I have a testimony of the Plan of Salvation because the story of my dad. I assured her that I know through this gospel families can be together forever. My eyes were watery of course as well as hers and I'm sure others in the room but I still had my smile. :D
Hope everyones week is going well. I miss you all.
Chose the Right...Endure to the end
Love,
Elder Dimter
p.s. yesterday I saw a deer hit at 60 mph by a truck. Don't forget to drive safely.
